You may find yourself feeling worn down by second-guessing yourself, overextending in your relationships, and shrinking your own needs to keep the peace.

You might feel burnt out or discouraged — hoping things will change, yet noticing the same patterns continue to show up. At the same time, you have a sense that life could feel more steady, more confident, and more connected… and you’re considering that it might be time for support.

This is a space for you.

Providing therapy for anxiety, families, and optional Christian faith integration

My Perspective on Therapy

Therapy is not about fixing or changing who you are. It is about understanding what you are experiencing and learning how to navigate it with greater clarity and compassion. Anxiety, depression, and emotional distress often emerge when life feels overwhelming, unbalanced, or unsustainable.

I believe therapy should feel steady, supportive, and collaborative. Together, we work to build emotional awareness, strengthen practical coping skills, and create a greater sense of calm and balance. Change happens gradually, through safety, consistency, and a deeper understanding of what you need.

Therapy with me is an accepting, nonjudgmental space and a collaborative process, grounded in respect, clarity, and care.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling like you learned something — about yourself, your partner, your children, or a new way to cope or communicate during difficult moments.

Sessions may look different from week to week, because I don’t believe therapy needs to be rigid or overly structured. We might reflect on how your week has gone, or spend time exploring themes that continue to show up in your life. The work is responsive, thoughtful, and guided by what feels most important in the moment.

How Therapy With Me Is Different

Our work is centered on you — your experiences, your relationships, and what actually fits your life.

Many people come to therapy having already tried strategies that felt generic or hard to sustain. You may have thought:

  • “That doesn’t really apply to my situation.”

  • “That sounds helpful, but I can’t maintain it.”

  • “It helps a little, but it doesn’t get to the root.”

I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy with me is collaborative and thoughtful, with time spent understanding you within the context of your relationships, history, culture, and the systems that shape your day-to-day life.

We begin by clarifying what feels most difficult — whether that’s emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, or relational patterns — and then focus on practical skills and meaningful change that fits you. Over time, this work supports greater emotional steadiness, clearer communication, and deeper connection in your relationships and daily life.

I focus on understanding how anxiety shows up in daily life and relationships, and on building practical, sustainable ways to feel more steady over time. For parents, our work also includes understanding your child’s needs and strengthening connection within your home. With children, I use play-based approaches that honor their developmental stage, recognizing that anxiety often shows up through behavior, transitions, or emotional overwhelm, and creating safety through connection rather than pressure.

I work with adults, parents, and children, including providing play-based therapy for children to support emotional expression, regulation, and relational growth.

Am I the right therapist for You?

  • I work primarily with anxiety, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and relational stress. I support individuals, parents, children, and families who feel stuck in patterns that aren’t working and want practical tools alongside deeper understanding and connection.

  • Therapy with me is collaborative, responsive, and tailored to your needs. Some sessions focus on processing and reflection, while others are more skills-based and practical. I don’t believe therapy needs to be rigid — the work adjusts based on what feels most important and helpful in the moment.

  • Yes. In addition to standard 50 minute sessions, I offer therapy intensives, including half-day, full-day, and multi-day options. Intensives can be especially helpful for anxiety, parenting support, or families who want focused, meaningful progress in a shorter period of time.

  • I do. Faith-based counseling is available for clients who want to integrate their Christian beliefs into the therapeutic process. This is always client-led and incorporated in a way that feels respectful, thoughtful, and aligned with your values.

  • Yes. I offer consultation for independently licensed clinicians in Wyoming who are building or refining a private practice. Consultation focuses on practice structure, sustainable caseload design, and ethical boundary-setting. It is consultative in nature and does not constitute supervision.

More details are available on the Consultation page.

Finding the right therapist matters. If you’re unsure whether this approach feels like a fit, I’m happy to talk more and help you decide next steps.

Professional Background

I earned both my undergraduate degree in psychology and my master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Wyoming. I have been practicing as a therapist for over 15 years, working with adults, children, couples, and families in individual and group settings.

My early clinical work included residential, community-based, and day treatment settings, where I supported children, adolescents, and families navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. These experiences continue to shape how I understand emotional distress — not as something to fix, but as something that develops within relationships, environments, and life circumstances.

Today, my work focuses on supporting individuals and families through anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflict, interpersonal struggles, and parenting challenges. A significant focus of my work is helping adults, parents, and children navigate anxiety, overwhelm, and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck or reactive. My work includes providing extended therapy intensives for individuals and families seeking focused, structured therapeutic support. I take a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in clinical experience, ongoing learning, and respect for each person’s unique needs and goals.

Faith Integration (Optional)

I am a Christian and am comfortable integrating faith into therapy when it is meaningful to you. For clients who wish, our work can include attention to spiritual concerns, values, and the role faith plays in your life and relationships.

This is always guided by your preferences and is not required or assumed. My role is to provide therapy that respects your beliefs and supports you in a way that feels aligned with who you are.

A Little About Me

I moved to Laramie in 2003 to attend the University of Wyoming and have called it home ever since. I’ve been married since 2007, and my husband and I are raising three boys. Life at home is full, active, and often humbling — which continues to shape how I understand family dynamics, stress, and connection in real, everyday ways.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hikes in the mountains, playing board and card games, reading, swimming, and spending time with friends.

While therapy is a professional space, I believe it’s important to show up as a real, grounded person. My hope is that when you sit across from me, you feel met with steadiness, understanding, and respect — and that our work together feels both supportive and practical for your life.
